STATEMENT OF PURPOSE
It is the goal of Leadership Cadiz/Trigg County to develop a source of informed, civic-oriented, volunteer leaders who are interested in helping direct the future of Cadiz and Trigg County.
WHAT IS LEADERSHIP?
Leadership Cadiz Trigg County is a program designed to develop the leadership potential existing in our community. It brings together individuals with diverse backgrounds and experiences, who have demonstrated talent and commitment to leadership. Monthly educational sessions are designed to promote interest and awareness of local issues and challenges, and a rare opportunity to interact with community leaders in government, business, and civic organizations. Participants will take part in lectures, panel discussions, demonstrations, field trips and special projects.
THE PROGRAM INCLUDES
• One full day in the community each month in various locations throughout Cadiz & Trigg County.
• Opportunities to network with community leaders and other leadership groups.
• Small group discussions.
• Facility tours.
• Extensive program, class, and community related group presentations.
• Community service events.
• Training in leadership skills.
• Completion of a community project.
THE PROGRAM WILL
• Provide a systematic education program to familiarize participants with the community’s opportunities, needs, problems and resources.
• Establish an effective dialogue and peer-relationship arena among participants and program alumni, as a common ground for present and future communication.
• Provide a rapport among participants and individuals currently in leadership positions within the community.
• Identify individuals who have demonstrated leadership qualities and concern for the community’s future.
SELECTION CRITERIA
Participation in Leadership Cadiz Trigg County is a competitive process open to individuals working or living in Trigg County. The selection committee will select up to 20 participants who represent a cross selection of the community. Applicants must have the full support of the organization or the business they represent in order to
commit the time and effort required by the program. It is an honor to be chosen for Leadership Cadiz Trigg County. There is an expectation that the individual will remain involved in Cadiz and Trigg County in the future.
ATTENDANCE REQUIREMENTS
Attendance at every session and activity is mandatory. This also includes the opening retreat and active participation in the class project. If a session is missed, approval is required PRIOR, and the participant will be required to make up the day missed with the next class.

TUITION
Tuition for Leadership Cadiz Trigg County is $400 for chamber members and $450 for non-chamber members. No refunds will be issued for any reason following opening retreat.
CLASS PROJECT
Part of the graduation requirements for Leadership Cadiz Trigg County is the completion of a class project. Projects must be tangible, completed by the date of graduation, beneficial to the community and collaboratively developed by class members.
